A snake and food question?

First off, congrats on your new corn snake! The rule of thumb is waiting 48 hours before you handle your snake after it's meal. You don't have to use tongs, but I do. If you don't, you just have to wash your hands after so you don't get bitten for having the scent of the mouse on you. I would feed him in a separate tub, that is what I do. I just don't want to risk impaction. Also I do it so whenever I open it's cage, he isn't expecting a meal. I hope this helps!
